Katja Stille is a Director of Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design, and former Chair of the Urban Design Group. As an experienced and well-respected urban designer with a background in architecture and engineering, she works with private and public clients and provides urban design and planning advice to government and placemaking bodies, including on New Towns, medium density development and how we can create healthier communities. Working collaboratively across professional boundaries she seeks to unlock the issues that prevent us from delivering good design. She oversees masterplans and development frameworks from concept through to delivery. Katja’s objective is incorporate principles of sustainability, health and well-being into her broad spectrum of work, including large scale projects, spatial strategies and design policy. Her track record has led to the invitation from House of Lords to speak to their Build Environment Committee on masterplanning New Towns. Notable projects include: Northstowe Healthy New Town, Otterpool Park Garden Community, Marlcombe, East Devon New Town.
